Stock Market crashing but not everything is going down...

While the financial crisis continues on Wall Street, there is positive news to be found in our realm. Combined internet views of our 'Extended Teaser Trailer' for Night Before the Wedding has exceeded 5000 views. Not too shabby. This is great news considering we have not been able to really promote it, as we are submersed in the editing process. Coming up for air to report this news, then it is right back to editing.

The 'Teaser Trailer' does not feature one frame of footage from the film itself. So you do not have to worry about spoilers. People have asked if the film is a documentary because the 'Teaser' is shot in documentary fashion. No it is not a documentary. It is a full fledged scripted feature film. We will have an official theatrical trailer online as soon as we can. We currently have Production Stills online and we are certain to have Screenshots in the near future.

We encourage you to view the trailer. We would love your feedback. If you like what you see, please help us spread the word by passing the trailer on.

NBTW Teaser Trailer to Premiere Tonight at HollyShorts ’08

Had a wild time at the Opening Night of the 4th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival last night. Came away with some exciting moments. We got our promotional items into the hands of Paul Haggis, Josh Brolin, and Larry Hankin amongst many others.

Also spoke with the Festival Organizers Theo Dumont and Daniel Sol. They were inquiring about what I had in the works. Let them know about our upcoming Fundraising Event on Friday August 15th and how we were going to have a special screening of the 'Teaser Trailer' for Night Before the Wedding.

They made the offer to screen it tonight at Club Nacional as part of the HollyShorts Film Festival and it was an offer I couldn't turn down. I turned in a copy to them today and they will screen the trailer tonight before their slate of Music Videos. It is a FREE event that even includes some free drinks. Just get your RSVP in to RSVP@HOLLYSHORTS.COM

The address is 1645 Wilcox Avenue in Hollywood, CA. The event runs from 7pm to 11pm. If you are in the area, get out and check it out. Going to be a fanstastic night. Let us know what you think of our 'Teaser Trailer' and for those of you worried about *spoilers*....don't worry, there isn't an ounce of footage from the movie itself in the trailer.

FINAL CASTING OF “NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING” ANNOUNCED

Hollywood, CA (July 15, 2008)— Glimpse of Dreams Productions announced today the final selection of actors for Director David Branin’s (Shoot-Out, Honey, I’m Home) first and highly anticipated feature-length film NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING.

John Keating (Identity Theft, “Mind of Mencia”) plays William Shay, a kind, innocent and clean-cut man who’s at the center of the story.

Shay is joined by a group of colorful high school/college friends who congregate to celebrate his last night of freedom. Among them, Gregor Collins (The Society of Lost Causes, “Passions”) who plays Tom “Bronco” Patrick; Johnny Giordano (The Forest Demon) playing Bobby Demayo; theater actor Chad Davis as Rudy Giovanni; Kevin Deen (“Grey Matter”) as Norm Satyanaraya; James Anthony as Corey Sullivan; Frantz Durand as Demetrius Winfield; Zane Patterson as Jake Spees; and Kristen Sullivan (“The Drew Carey Show”) as Will’s beautiful and unaware bride Beth Jankowski.

Gregor Collins

Joining the ensemble cast as the perilous and stunning enticers are newcomer Sarah Ronaghi (“Nip/Tuck”), embracing the role of Melissa Mercury and adult entertainer La’Rin Lane as herself. “The decision to cast a real life porn star was very much debated, but I wanted the film to have a true sense of authenticity and La’Rin couldn’t have been a better choice.” Said Branin, who also wrote the film’s script.

The film also features a special cameo appearance by platinum selling rapper Mopreme Shakur.

“I’m very proud of the cast we’ve assembled. Each and everyone of them is extremely talented and brings exceptionalism to the characters I’ve created. I’m looking forward to an exciting filming process.” concluded Branin.

NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING starts filming this Summer and will be released on the 2009 Film Festival Circuit, theatrically in Los Angeles, and on DVD.

Filmmaker David Branin to start production of sexy new film

FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

Filmmaker David Branin to start production of sexy new film
NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING
Introduces Pre-Order DVD Initiative

Hollywood, CA (June 12th , 2008)—Everyone—male or female—has either experienced first-hand or heard a crazy bachelor party story. For men, it is one of the marks of being a man. And just as a woman grows up with that fantasy of exactly how their wedding will look, down to the most intimate of details, men do the same with their bachelor party. That is the backdrop for filmmaker David Branin’s upcoming feature film NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING. The film is scheduled to begin shooting this summer.

The idea for NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING was hatched when Branin was approached by a friend to shoot an HD short in one location in one day. With his mind turning, and also wanting to work with several actor friends, Branin put the pieces together and pitched a bachelor party story. But because of the size and scale of the idea it wasn’t feasible to shoot it in one day. Believing he had something special, Branin pressed on, and in three weeks manifested a first draft not for a short film, but a feature film.

The film while comedic by nature, ultimately deals with the serious, life-changing moral dilemmas even the most straight-laced of us must face during this night. Both the comedy and the drama of the film hit home with equal truth and weight. The movie will be one men can watch with a knowing eye and women can have a truthful, firsthand account of what really takes place at a bachelor party.

NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING will be distributed on the 2009 Film Festival Circuit, theatrically in Los Angeles, and on DVD. Audiences have the chance to get their name in the film’s credits through a pre-order initiative through the film’s website. A donation of $15 allows them to Pre-Order the DVD and simultaneously enhance the film’s budget. In return, their name will appear on the film’s credits and on the official website.

HollyShorts Film Festival - Behind the Shorts - Filmmaker David Branin Featured

We just received this video link from the folks over at HollyShorts. It is a cool recap of last year's festival where "Honey, I'm Home" was fortunate enough to receive an Audience Choice Award.

This video was filmed and edited by Daniel Mercaldi and is hosted by Damon Campbell. Cannot emphasize enough how impressed we are with this highlight video. It really captures the overall spirit and vibe that I remember from attending the fest.

It's great to see "Honey, I'm Home" represented in the video. Not only is there a small clip from the film in the video, there are also words from Director David Branin and later from Actress Karen Worden.

Also look for words from Festival Directors Daniel Sol and Theo Dumont Others include Writer Elliott Owen, Director Julian West, Actor Joe Lemieux, Director Justin Liberman, Host Viviana Vigil, Producer/Actor Chris Rice, Director Alex Ferrari, Director Chris Wilson, and Hip Hop Legend Biz Markie.

Hope you enjoy the inside peek at the festival as much as we do.

We have just received word from Producer/Festival Director Len Gibson that "Honey, I'm Home" has been accepted into the Sweet Auburn Internatinal Film Festival. This is outstanding news and want to personally thank Len for being gracious enough to share our film with his Atlanta audience.

This makes it 20 Official Film Festival Selections for our film which was made from the change in our piggy banks.

The festival schedule is now being put together. For the very latest news regarding this year's Sweet Auburn International Film Festival, please visit their official site here http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3LmJsYWNrLWNpbmVtYS5vcmcvZmlsbWZlc3RpdmFsLmh0bWw=

Dream Regime Productions added to YouTube’s Partners Program

Have just received word that my YouTube account has been approved for

the YouTube Partner’s Program. Basically it means that I will be paid

anytime someone clicks on the ads located on my YouTube videos pages.

Pretty cool news. Not sure how much money I can make, whatever comes

my way I will put towards the budget of the feature film I am trying to get off the

ground.

Speaking of which, I went ahead and added my short film "Honey, I’m Home"

to YouTube. In it’s 1st day it has surpassed 1500 views which is a great start,

yet it has very little comments and ratings to date. If you have a YouTube account, please take a minute and show it some love.

The Angry Princess Reviews "Honey, I’m Home"

First off, want to apologize to The Angry Princess who reviewed "Honey, I’m Home" quite some time ago.  I have been busy doing all I can to get my forthcoming feature film off the ground that I have not been able to keep up with news surrounding my surprising short film.

Glad to report that our film made The Angry Princess happy.  Want to thank you Kristin for taking time to share your thoughts on our film.

Here is a quote from her review posted over at This is Some Scene

"It was honestly different than anything I have seen in along time and I think most people will get a kick out of it!"

"Honey, I’m Home" earns "Director’s Cut" on MetaCafe

I have just learned that "Honey, I'm Home" has earned the honor of "Director's Cut" on MetaCafe. The "Director's Cut" channel is a sub-division within the MetaCafe platform that features fresh original videos that honor the art of storytelling and the craft of filmmaking in the categories of comedy, animation, documentary, action and drama.

It is quite an honor for "Honey, I'm Home" to earn this early in it's online status.

Filmmaker David Branin is "Officially Plugged In"

Want to thank internet entrepreneur Wendy Shepherd, for adding me to her new site entitled "Officially Plugged In" A site that I see gaining in popularity.

http://www.officiallypluggedin.com/filmmakers/david_branin.php

Here is a brief rundown about the site,

"Are you concerned about people pretending to be you online? You should! It may seem harmless when people pretend to be someone they aren't. However, it's a form of identity theft and ruins reputations.

If you are in the public eye and have people who look up to you in any way, you will want to be listed here on Officially Plugged In.

People who pretend to be you are considered FAKERS or POSERS. Friends and fans will think they are talking to you. Fakers may wish to meet with your friends/fans, which can cause dangerous situations.

These people are robbing you of your friends and fans along with the support they provide for the hard work you have done.

Many people in the public eye are establishing themselves online, even including links to their MySpace or other social networks. However, there is no uniformity or central site promoting them to help their friends/fans to find them. This is why "Officially Plugged In" was started. This is the first site like it that displays those who confirm their real presence and support to help stamp out fakers/posers."

Here's my "Officially Plugged In" video

PS: I have also just uploaded my latest film "Honey, I'm Home" to MetaCafe. You can watch it in it's entirety. All 5 minutes of it. Check it out, believe you will enjoy it.

Honey, I’m Home now available online, F*ck AtomFilms Part II, and the Countdown to 1 Million

What's the story with "Honey, I'm Home"???

It has been a surprise hit for me. I made it for less than a $100, and to date it has been an Official Selection to more than 15 International Film Festivals.

"Honey, I'm Home" won the "Audience Choice Award" at the HollyShorts Film Festival (it's debut festival). It's festival selections include Miami Underground Film Festival, Festivus Film Festival, Lake County Film Festival, and the Rome Independent Film Festival.

Honey, I'm Home tackles the topic of being unfaithful and having to confess the truth to one's companion. Never before has infidelity been explored in the way you will see here.

* Inside Scoop It was always my plan to have "Honey, I'm Home" be available for online viewing. Before doing so, I wanted to test the Festival circuit. To my thrill and delight, this little $100 movie has held up it's own against films with 100 times the budget. In addition it has won over dozens of film critics.

My goal was to add it to the site AtomFilms. After building Honey, I'm Home's resume, I thought its track record was in place for it to be accepted by AtomFilms. I was wrong. It was rejected and I was told that it is not good enough to be on their site.

I have decided to take this setback in stride and I have uploaded it here to share with you and the MetaCafe community. Now, I would just love to stick it to AtomFilms! My goal is to now have it receive One Million Views and shove it in their face. Perhaps you can help, if you enjoy the film, please pass it onto a friend or family member.

Here is the link - View "Honey, I'm Home" Now

Thank you,

David Branin

F*ck AtomFilms

Had a friend ask me the other night, "Do you ever get fired up?" He said he wanted to see me mad. I generally keep a cool demeanor, yet it does not mean that passion does not burn within me.

My standard approach is to report the positive stuff happening my films and other projects. There is no need to bash the festivals that we didn't get into and things like that.

Yet when I receive an email from yourfriend@atom.com with the subject "AtomFilms Content Removal" and the message ends with "***We're sorry, but due to the volume of submissions we're not able to respond to questions about why your film wasn't selected.***" This is something that really pisses me off.

You have to be kidding me. I do not proclaim that "Honey, I'm Home" is the greatest film in the world. Yet I can say it is a quality film with a solid track record. It was made with a microscopic budget, features a memorable performance from lead actor Jacob Magnuson, has been accepted into more than 15 International Film Festivals and won the Audience Choice Award at last year's HollyShorts Film Festival. Not to mention that the trailer for the film has been seen over 30,000 times and counting. The preview of the film on Cruxy.com (where it was uploaded in December) has over 20,000 hits and climbing.

Is AtomFilms really that great where they are going to pass on "Honey, I'm Home"? They really come off as an arrogant and smug organization. Also in the email is this sentence, "Thanks again for thinking of us and please, send more of your movies to AtomFilms! We'd love to see them."

What? You want to see more of my films after turning my film down. You can see them on other sites! I am through with AtomFilms. I believed they would have made the perfect match to be the online distributor for a film that will do very well online. They want to turn down a filmmaker who's work has been viewed millions of times on dozens of sites across the world wide web?

Yeah, I'm fired up, and I'm mad.

Now I will gladly take my film elsewhere. So far I am considering MetaCafe and Revver. Do you know of any other sites or alternatives I should explore?

The silver lining in all of this, is now you know that "Honey, I'm Home" will make it's online debut very soon.

F*k Atomfilms!

Lake County Film Festival Accepts "Honey, I’m Home"!!!

I was in the middle of working on a feature story synopsis, when I received the fantastic news that "Honey, I'm Home" has been accepted into the Lake County Film Festival! Have to admit, this is a festival we did not expect to be accepted into, so this news is very well received. This makes 14 Official Selections for "Honey, I'm Home." Really happy to see our $100 film continue to win over judges and fans alike.

Even better is the way the news came about. It wasn't through email or a letter, it was through a phone call with Nat Dykeman, Festival Director of the Lake County Film Festival. To hear first hand that a Festival Director really enjoyed your film...I mean, what can I really say. It is a fantastic feeling.

Will post more detailed information as it becomes available.

Two International Official Selections for "Honey, I’m Home"

First and foremost,

Happy New Year to you!

I am working on making 2008 a big year (which will include my debut feature film!). While attacking this new year, I have discovered that my film, "Honey, I'm Home" was an Official Selection to the Bursa International Silk Road Film Festival which took place December 7th through December 13th, 2007 in Istanbul, Turkey. It is quite an honor that "Honey, I'm Home" was selected as they received over 400 short film submissions.

Must apologize to all my fans in Turkey who missed the screening. I was kept in the dark and was not aware it was accepted. It is tougher to find out word about International Film Festivals. As proof, I was not aware that we had been accepted into yet another International Film Festival. I did some investigating and also discovered that "Honey, I'm Home" has also been accepted into the Roma Independent Film Festival.

The festival runs from April 4th through 12th, 2008. Will keep you posted with more information as it becomes available.

My best to you as you pursue your life's passions.

Open Audition in Los Angeles (Male 18+) - New David Branin Video

Happy New Year!

It's now official, 2008 is here.

Want to start off the year with some activity. Not going to let this year slip by, so I am attacking it. (Finishing up my 4th draft of my upcoming feature film tonight and in addition shooting this video on Saturday).

Here's the deal.

I have a simple idea that I know will be funny and entertaining. I am shooting it this Saturday 1/5/08 in the Los Angeles area. Shooting will take place between 10:30am and 1pm.

This one is for males only. You do not have to be an actor, might actually be better if you aren't. Looking for guys that are energetic, passionate, and are willing to go over the top on camera.

There is no pay up front for this, yet my mindset is focused on monetary opportunities for the video. When money is made, those in the video will be paid.

Believe it will be fun for everyone involved. In the very least, I guarantee the video will be seen by thousands of people.

If you are interested, and you are available this Saturday 1/5/08 please send your photo to dreamregime@gmail.com I will respond with further details.

Keep in mind this will be shot in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area.

I will not be able to fit everyone in as we only have two and a half hours to shoot. I'm going for as much diversity as I can. Those who respond earlier are going to have a better chance to be called in. Look forward to possibly working with you and for those of you I cannot fit in, hopefully we will work down the line.

My best,

David Branin
